Launched in 2010, and based at the Elephant Inn in north London since 2022, the live programme from Just East of Jazz presents the best of UK jazz on the 1st and 3rd Sunday of every month, and their audience have enjoyed a unique series of dazzling gigs by many of the major names in UK and worldwide jazz, ranging from Liane Carroll and Ian Shaw to Jacob Collier, John Etheridge, Jim Mullen, Joy Ellis, John Paricelli, Kate Williams, Theo Travis, Paul Booth, Mark Nightingale, Sarah Moule and Ed Jones. We’ve had special visits from USA leaders like Ralph Moore and Jon Gordon. We’ve also welcomed leading lights from the new generation of musicians including Sam Braysher, Sean Fyfe, Tom Green, Rob Luft, Jo Harrop, Adele Sauros, Liam Dunachie, Jamie Safir and Tom Ridout.

Every night is different and showcases talented guests backed by an immaculate house band tackling a mix of original compositions and off beat arrangements of jazz standards. Music mutates from delicate ballads through swinging hard bop classics to contemporary blues, rock and world music concoctions.
